Good, but not "good as new"...

Aside from some obviously damaged spots in these chairs, the client didn't so much mind
the finish. Sometimes a few dings and some worn finish adds character and value to
antique furniture.  The problem was that the finish was not wearing, but chipping.  This
means that humidity & moisture could enter the wood, causing permanent damage to the
chairs.  The chairs were refinished with intentional patination, meaning that the chairs were
refinished to look as if though they were never refinished at all.  The fresh coat of color
and finish will protect the chairs for many more years to come.
